This White Rabbit weathervane called out to me.
I walked into my favorite antique and junk store in Lufkin, Texas
I only get to go there when I visit my mother in law.
It is a magical place. When I walk in, I am just transported to different times
and different places. So many little nic nacs and pretties that I am sure have
many stories to tell
Sometimes though you just walk in and hear that certain something calling
It calls your name almost in a whisper.
"Wendy"
"I am over here"
And there he was. I had never seen one before, and it would not have mattered what the price tag was (well it would have, but secretly inside as I made a b-line for my whimsical friend, I was praying that it would be in my price range. It was)
And isnt this little couple fun. These two also called out my name on a seperate trip. It is funny how certain things just make you smile when you see them and these little pear salt and pepper shakers in their polka dotted lovliness can always bring a huge grin to my face.
They are almost alive to me. I just want to pick them up and hug them. Want to know a secret**sometimes I do.
I am constantly adding things to my little porch. I hope to paint the concrete floors soon. I would like pink harlequin. Wouldnt that be fun. One day I was just sitting out at the table and decided the inside of this one little tea cup would be perfect with black polka dots. He is very happy that way.
Well I am glad you could stop in today. I will introduce you to a few more of my backporch friends soon. I think you will really love Petunia my fairy princess.
