What kind of witch doesn't cook?
I am afraid not a very good one.
This sign pretty much sums up my Magic in the kitchen.
I am afraid it wouldn't be food cooking on the kitchen counters. (Not that this is such a bad thing)
And this sign sits above this collection of cookbooks. I am addicted to them, and I read them, but vary rarely do I use them.
I just wish I was able to cook more and it actually be edible.
So just the three days ago, I was walking through the book isle at the grocery store and decided to add to my collection.
However, when I started to read it. I told myself "Wendy, you can do this"
So I did.
After 100's of years I finally made my first cake from scratch(do not laugh)
LOOK AT THIS.
PERFECT.
AND IT TASTED DEVINE!
Here's the proof.
What was the first thing I did. Get the camera. Take pictures. Jump up and down screaming that "I did it"
and then called my Big Hatter (at work) (hahaha this was an important thing)
and then my Martha Stewart cousin( who makes being a mom, cooking like Betty Crocker, and keeping a clean house look like "a piece of cake"
and I let both of them know that I just cooked the best Chocolate Cake...from Scratch
PURE MAGIC
I have cooked three other recipes from The Pioneer Woman's cook book and
this Witch is on a roll
3 large pans of enchiladas for tonight(my family and my mom and dad and brother and sisterinlaw)
I'm done and on to working on my party blog for Miss V's party this weekend.
There is magic in the air and the woods at night have become haunted with the sounds of music, song and laughter.....
come closer and you can hear the whisper...
can you hear it...
it floats like a feather through the soft wind
and tickles your ear...
"Come little children.."
Looking forward to seeing all of you there.
