We are sooo exhausted and full. I have to tell you that we just got back to our hotel, and after looking all over Livingston for a restaurant that had some good ole southeren "Soul Food" we finally had some people tell us about a place called Florida's Home Cooking. It was absolutely wonderful. The food was sooooo fantastic, and the people that worked there were just the best people in the world. We talked and laughed for over an hour, They just are so very nice and it was like being with family. If your ever in LIvingston, make sure you dont miss eating at Florida's.
Well, the day was long. We started off, by dropping off all the new items at CandyDeLane. It looks great, and I am so proud of the shop. I am so excited about being out with Johnny, but I am also excited about getting home and finishing some of the outfits I started before I left.
Johnny found some old antique craftsman oil can today, and a marshalls badge. I found this whimsical paper merry go round music box. It is so enchanting. I also found some old tin plate pictures of children and some couples from the 1800's. I also found an old wind up pocket watch. I love it. I plan on hanging it from the White Rabbit in my studio. I am very proud by the way of how the studio is turning out. I have been working very hard to turn it into my dream workspace. It is becoming more and more a part of me everyday.
As you can see studio is still under construction, but I am working on it.
This is one of my favorite new pieces. I love my door. I plan on covering it with my clock and timepiece collection. I like to think of this as the door I would take to follow the white rabbit down the hole to wonderland.
Brandy...... Take a look at this. After the last blog I read of yours. I saw all your signs. Oh my lord I did not realize you had so many. And Steph as well. I laughed and then I went to Hobby Lobby, and guess what was on sale. Your right ... All their signs. So here are a few I got:
My favorite is the Apothecary sign. I love it
I have a few images of the items Johnny and I found a few weeks ago.
Beautiful. I love the fabric. I cannot wait until tomorrow. By the way my find for the day was a like new childrens dress form. I have been looking for one, and I got it for the most extreme steal. I got it for $10. The only thing wrong with it was one of the legs on the stand was broken, but I will fix that easily.
Well we are going to have a slumber party. We have the window open watching the storm, and we are watching movies all night. We even snuck back some awesome deserts from Florida's. We may have to dig into those in a little while.
We passed by our house today on the way to our next destination. The kids were with mom and dad, so no one knew we came by, but I managed to leave a little note for the boys. Especially made and sprinkled with pixie dust. It read.
We love you mommy and daddy.
